Uranium Derby

Director Britt Prater discovers her hometown was secretly involved in the Manhattan Project. Her investigation into this history triggers a chain reaction of encounters through which it becomes clear that the topic of nuclear waste has been more successfully buried than the waste itself.

I was brought in by Britt as a story consultant and finishing editor (in Avid, no less, which at the time was my distant fifth editing language) when she felt too close to the material. This is probably my favorite kind of work, helping other filmmakers make the best version of *their* work.
